Ray
has worked on many automotive projects. He was Chief Engineer, Vehicle
Engineering at Aston Martin Tickford. He was responsible for
development of the Jaguar XJS Cabriolet and he was the Project Manager
for a range of other vehicles. In 1986 he joined Lotus Engineering and
became Chief Engineer - Body and Chassis Design and General Manager -
Vehicle Projects. Ray formed Elite Consulting in 1991 and Elite
Consulting Limited in 1993. He has been the Project Director for a
number of Niche Vehicle Projects and is our Project Management and NPD
expert. He also provides consultancy and
training in the use of Pro/Mechanica® and
CETol. |

Rod Giles
Technical Director

Rod has been involved
in automotive chassis design for most of his career,
engineering of a number of cars, such as the Rover
Metro, Rover 800, Lotus Elan and the Ford Fiesta.
During his time at Lotus Rod began using Mechanica
to analyse and optimise designs. Rod carried out the
structural analysis of the Lotus 'Superbike' that
Chris Boardman used to win Olympic Gold in 1992. He
used Mechanica to carry out extensive structural and
dynamic analysis of the Ford Fiesta front
suspension. Since joining Elite Consulting, Rod has
continued to use Pro/Mechanica and Pro/Engineer in
many fields, including Automotive, Aerospace,
Industrial Products, and Domestic Goods.
In January 2001, Rod was
made Technical Director of Elite Consulting, and NAFEMS made him an
Advanced Registered Analyst.
