Pro/MECHANICA® Motion - Details
The ProMechanica Motion Simulation Package evaluates and optimises moving assemblies by
supporting driven kinematic and force-based dynamic simulations, in full 3D.
Motion Simulation
Engineers can evaluate velocity, part angular acceleration, part mass
properties, point position, point velocity, point acceleration, net force,
point-to-point separation, separation speed, separation speed change, mechanism
redundancies, kinetic energy, and part-to-part true angles by animating actual
CAD geometry, rather than manually interpreting mathematical relationships. And
because joint and connection definitions from Pro/ENGINEER®'s Mechanism Design
Extension are now inherited by Pro/MECHANICA®, incorporating design intent
becomes automatic.
 |
Create mechanism designs directly in the design environment. |
 |
Build subassemblies on a graphically oriented "workbench" and
then store them in libraries for re-use. |
 |
Define internal and external cam profiles based on the desired output
motion of the mechanism and input them directly for motion and force
studies. |
 |
Select one or more sensitivity parameters to vary over a range and then
review graphs of result quantities as a function of that changing parameter. |
 |
Calculate local sensitivity results at a small offset from the nominal
parameter value and visualize whether varying a certain parameter has a
significant effect. |
 |
Optimise designs by specifying multiple design parameters and a design
goal in terms of any engineering measure of merit. |
 |
View and store results for any engineering quantity in the model as
mechanism animations, fan diagrams, trace curves in a part frame, integrated
x-y graphs, numerical results query, or hard copy reports. |
 |
Define templates for graphs that are used frequently. |
